Description
The Great Malvern Priory, founded shortly after the Norma Conquest, hosts some of the towns most spectacular trees including marvellous cedars, a most spectacular Holm Oak and a stunning Monterrey Pine. We also have the gas lamp that surely inspired C.S.Lewis to include it as the entrance to Narnia and on a less cheery note, the grave of Anne Darwin, daughter of Charles Darwin. A very special feature related to our trees, is a 15th century ‘Green Man’ hidden in the Priory itself.
