29 tree types tracing the Route to the Hills from Great Malvern Priory to St. Ann’s Well. Two quite young London Planes grow above Malvinha’s spring and shade a statue of Elgar. The Buzzard sculpture looks right at home in amongst the trees of Rose Bank Gardens, where we also have an important Box hedge. Note the transition from the formal urban treescape to the ‘natural’ treescape alongside the road to the the well. Coffee and cake at the cafe is in order when you reach the close of this route.
